Who We Are
To engage youth 20 years and younger to prevent violence, incarceration, and poverty through membership, community engagement, and support to families and other social engagement organizations.
I pledge to be a member of Brothers United For Change in 2025 and give my best effort to support the Pontiac Community. I recognize the need for our work in addressing systemic inequities, while empowering my fellow Brothers, and creating better opportunities for our families and community. My goal is to make Brothers United For Change a pillar of strength in the Pontiac Community for years to come. Our goal is to aid other likeminded organizations, while providing education, mentorship, and economic development for our men and youth. I understand that my commitment is not just a gesture but a responsibility. This pledge is a promise to “SHOW UP” consistently and with integrity.
As a Brother, I recognize that importance of standing alongside Men of Color including the youth who face challenges similar my own. My actions will reflect my words, as I strive to build trust, partnerships, and build trusts paving the way to a better Pontiac for myself, my children, and the women.
I understand that my pledge is not associated with any political alliance, and I am committed to being humble and always discussing all situations MAN-TO-MAN.
I commit to being present, accountable when time allows, and unwavering in my support for Brothers United For Change. I know that true progress requires not just intention but action. Together we can create a future where we all have better opportunities to thrive, and where our unity will overcome barriers of division.
Finally, I commit to be "My Brothers Keeper" and share the information about the group and invite others to the meetings and events to see first hand what Brothers United For Change is about.
The my Brothers Keeper program is designed for accountability of each Brohter. The way it work is that each time a Brother Pledges a part of his pledge it to be the next Brothers Keeper. This means that the are to swap contact information and check on their assigned Brothers once a month by phone and for the two to make sure to support each other.
