LOCAL NEWS
Family Values hosted a Fatherhood Forum networking event yesterday at Biscuits & Bourbon in downtown Pontiac. GREAT Dad was founded by David Stimage and their mission is to improve parent development through child engagement.
The event was hosted at Biscuits & Boubon in Downtown Pontiac and include about 30 Men/Fathers/Brothers from the surrounding community. The event included a panel of Fathers/Entrepreneurs including Solomon Bonner of Solo Images, Demar Byas of Iviiileague 360, Sean Preston of Yaktown Don't Back Down, and Julian Gallenger - Clothing Line Owner. This was a great event with a lot of takeaways and good advice. Being a father it was good to listen to other fathers share experience which really lightens the load when you are a father, I just wish more young fathers were able to take part in the event.
Great job David Stimage for putting this together and sharing your story. Keep up the good work Brother! To find out more information please check out Great Dad on Social Media.

This night was filled with laughs and really pushed the message about how important the upcoming election is. So we have to remember that it is not just Presidential Election but also our locally elected officials that really makes a
difference. So let's make sure that we get people encourage to get out and vote and move our City, County, State and Federal Government forward.

Brothers It is crucial for Black Men to actively participate in the lives of Black Youth and engage in community activities like attending field trips. We just want to say “Thank You” to the Brothers accompanied MAN UP on their field trip to the Charles H Wright museum in Detroit in April.
By doing so, we not only provide positive role models but also demonstrate a commitment to uplifting the community. Our goal is to destroy negative stereotypes and instills a sense of pride and belonging for our young Black Men. We also contribute to building a stronger, more resilient community in the City of Pontiac.
